ABA Community Bank Awards

Does your institution give back to the community? Do you want your institution to receive national recognition at the National Conference for Community Bankers for its good work and be highlighted in national banking publications?
The opportunity is here to have your institution recognized for all its charitable efforts! Submit an entry for the 2009 ABA Community Bank Awards! The submission deadline has been extended to December 15, 2008.
The ABA Community Bank Awards honor institutions that have taken an innovative, creative and effective approach to making a difference in their community. The award is given to the institution and its entire team, rather than an individual, for the collective positive impact they have had on the community.

For the Awardees:
The ABA Community Bank Award winners will be honored in a ceremony on February 17, 2009 during the National Conference for Community Bankers in Phoenix, Arizona.
All awardees are highlighted in ABA's Community Banker Magazine and several other ABA publications throughout the year.
Submission Details:
State organizations and banks of all sizes and charters are eligible. The deadline for entries is December 15, 2008. Click here or the entry form. Entries are generally about 3-5 pages in length and include supporting documents.
The categories for submission are:
1. Helping to Achieve Homeownership
2. Encouraging Volunteerism
3. Fundraising for Foundations & Local Groups
4. Improving Financial Literacy
5. Reaching Out to the Underserved
6. Building with Habitat for Humanity
7. Revitalizing Your Community
