Communications Kits

Check 21
The Check 21 Act is in the news - and questions about it are on their way to your bank.  This ABA Communications kit - part of a larger toolbox specifically designed for ABA members only - will help you educate your bank employees and customers about exciting possibilities and valid concerns some may have about the legislation and its effects.

Corporate Governance
In the post-Enron environment, bankers have an excellent communications opportunity to explain to customers, the press and many others how banks and their boards follow stringent accounting standards and apply sound principles of corporate management and accountability to their daily business.

Banks and the Economy
Bankers fund small businesses, lead in the rebuilding of communities, help create jobs and give families the financial resources they need to meet their goals. Banks are central to the health of the local and national economy, and bankers are the people who make sound, sustained growth possible.

Fraud   NEW!
Consumers and bankers have benefited from the wide-spread use of technology, including the convenience of ATMs, online bill paying and online access to accounts and transfers.  Unfortunately, criminals also try to take advantage of these new innovations.  Today, it is not unlikely to get an email scam or read news accounts about identity theft.  Customers need to know that banks are behind them, and that it is not the fault of the customer or the bank.

Homeownership
Owning a home may not be a Constitutional right, but it's what gives vitality to America's cities and towns and creates that sense of community so many Americans dream of and are willing to work for. Banks are central to helping make the dream of homeownership a reality for more and more Americans.

Identity Theft
Avoid becoming a victim by being a smart consumer.  This kit is specially designed
to help educate customers on identity theft and how they can protect themselves in the Information Age
