About the CCBT
Your Headquarters for Tax Information and Advocacy In August, 2001, the Center for Community Bank Tax was created to expand the ABA's efforts on both legislative and regulatory tax issues for community banks. The Center for Community Bank Tax is a new activity center within the American Bankers Associaiton created specifically to address the concerns of community banks. The American Bankers Association is a diverse organizaition that brings together all categories of banking institutions to best represent the rapidly changing industry. Its membership - which includes community, regional, and money center banks and holding companies, as well as savings assoications, trust comapnies, and savings banks - makes ABA the largest banking trade association in the country.
The new Center will be the arm of ABA that is dedicated to defending the concerns of community bankers and advocating their causes. As a headquarters for tax information and advocacy, the Center will address issues that demand proven approaches, creative tax strategies, and an in-depth understanding of the restraints under which community banks operate.
Mission Founded to address the tax concerns of community bankers, the ABA Center for Community Bank Tax offers tax expertise, information resources and advocacy efforts that can help your institution gain and retain the competitive edge in today's complex tax world.
