Bradley E. Rock
Brad Rock is chairman of the American Bankers Association and chairman, president and CEO of the Bank of Smithtown, and Smithtown Bancorp, in Smithtown, New York.
Bank of Smithtown, on Long Island, is a 98-year old community bank. Brad’s been chairman there for the past 18 years. Smithtown has frequently been rated as one of the top community banks in the nation — sometimes earning the Number One or Number Two spot.
Brad has served as chairman of the ABA Government Relations Council. He testified numerous times for ABA on the Hill on a subject near and dear to community bankers — regulatory reform. He was also 2002-2003 president of the Independent Bankers Association of New York State.
Brad is an attorney. He is a former high school All-American quarterback. He played college football at Boston College and the University of Connecticut, and he earned his law degree from Cornell.
