GREENSPAN TO KEYNOTE ACB’S WINTER MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan will keynote America’s Community Bankers’ Winter Management Conference, Dec. 3-5, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. The general sessions will be in the Empire Room, Lobby Level. Greenspan is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 10:45 a.m. The program also includes:

  • Monday, Dec. 4:
  • 8:35 a.m. David A. Bochnowski, chairman of America’s Community Bankers.
  • 8:50 a.m. Edith Weiner, president, Weiner, Edrich, Brown, Inc., New York, N.Y. “Views from the Future.
  • 10:05 a.m. Robert E. Hall, senior vice president and general manager, Xchange, Inc., Dallas. “Shareholder
    Value in the New Customer Economy.”
  • 11:05 a.m. Nicolas P. Retsinas, former Department of Housing and Urban Development official, who is director of the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University. “The Ongoing Effects of the Community Reinvestment Act.”
  • 12:30 p.m. Ricki Helfer, former FDIC chairman who is advising ACB on the FDIC’s deposit insurance reform options. Luncheon in the Hilton Room, Lobby Level.
