WASHINGTON, D.C. — America’s Community Bankers announced a new business solution today that will provide community bank members with a competitive credit card product without the portfolio risk normally associated with bank-owned credit card programs.

ACB Partners, Inc., the business solutions subsidiary of ACB, is joining with InfiCorp Holdings, an Atlanta-based credit card portfolio management company, to offer ACB members a Visa and MasterCard program through an agent bank arrangement.

ACB members will have access to a complete line of credit card products, receive special pricing for credit card referrals and ongoing income from the portfolio, and obtain pertinent data on their credit card customers.

“The addition of the InfiCorp agent program rounds out our credit card offerings to member community banks,” said ACB Partners Chairman William A. Donius. “This program will provide significant benefits to ACB members, especially to small and medium-sized community banks wanting a bank-branded credit card in their customers’ wallets, creating revenue for the bank, but without the risk.” Donius is also president and CEO of Pulaski Bank, St. Louis.

“The ACB-InfiCorp Agent Bankcard Alliance supplies member banks with innovative and versatile credit card products, through an agent relationship” said Andrew Mathieson, InfiCorp’s Managing Director. “This continues InfiCorp’s tradition of creating a partnership that helps client institutions expand their franchise base while helping the partner achieve its goals”, he said.

The member-exclusive program provides numerous options that are not available through a traditional agent bank relationship, including: approval rights over the use of the ACB member’s marks (name, logo, etc.) recognition of an applicant’s relationship with the ACB member bank in credit underwriting; web solutions for customers linked from the bank’s website; and web solutions for branch personnel to access customer account data.

ACB Partners’ President and CEO Anita Gentle Newcomb said, “We are excited about our new relationship with InfiCorp. This venture builds on ACB’s efforts to make community bank members more competitive in the marketplace by giving them more choices and more support to meet the unique needs of their customers.”
