PRIVACY, CRA, FAIR LENDING, TECHNOLOGY HIGHLIGHT AMERICA’S COMMUNITY BANKERS’ COMPLIANCE CONFERENCE
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Community
banking topics involving privacy, the Community Reinvestment Act, fair lending,
uninsured products, technology and the Internet are among a number of key issues
to be discussed at America’s Community Bankers’ National Compliance Conference,
Sept. 24-27 in Williamsburg, Va.
The program will feature experts
from government regulatory agencies, including: Stephen M. Cross, the FDIC’s
director of compliance and consumer affairs; Dolores S. Smith, the Federal
Reserve’s director of consumer and community affairs; Theresa Stark, the Office
of Thrift Supervision’s project manager in the division of compliance policy;
and Joel Palmer, assistant director of compliance, trust and consumer and
community affairs at the OTS regional office in Atlanta.
Private sector participants will
include experts from accounting, law, mortgage, consulting, compliance and
related firms.
