FALCON, WEICHER, BRENDSEL, MUDD HEADLINE ACB’S NATIONAL REAL ESTATE LENDING CONFERENCE
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Key government and
industry officials will headline America’s Community Bankers’ National Real
Estate Lending Conference and Marketplace, Feb. 10-13, at the Marriott Camelback
Inn in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Scheduled to address delegates are:
Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight Director Armando Falcon, FHA
Commissioner and Assistant HUD Secretary for Housing John Weicher (invited),
Freddie Mac Chairman Leland Brendsel (invited) and Fannie Mae Vice Chairman and
Chief Operating Officer Daniel Mudd.
John Bryant of Operation Hope has been
invited to discuss financial literacy programs and how community bankers can
work with local schools and non-profit groups to promote such training and
education.
ACB will release the results of its
2001 Real Estate Lending Survey. The annual survey focuses on mortgage
originations, sales and purchases involving the secondary market and the use of
technology in underwriting and origination.
The program will also include sessions
on homeownership education and counseling, lending to senior citizens,
restructuring portfolios, Federal Home Loan Bank mortgage partnership programs,
small business commercial lending, servicing operations and administration,
mortgage lending technology, risk-based pricing and multi-generational
marketing.
