ACB WELCOMES CONFIRMATION OF JAMES GILLERAN AS OTS DIRECTOR
Statement by Diane M. Casey, president and CEO, America’s Community Bankers, on the confirmation Wednesday of James E. Gilleran to be director of the Office of Thrift Supervision:
America’s Community Bankers welcomes the confirmation of James Gilleran as director of OTS. His extensive background as a banker and bank supervisor provides him the knowledge and experience to understand the challenges community banks face and the need for a supervisor
that will allow thrifts to fully use the most flexible charter in the banking industry. Mr. Gilleran inherits a strong and viable industry and a dedicated
