America’s Community Bankers and George Washington University’s School of Business and Public Management are sponsoring a symposium on government sponsored enterprise policy issues on Oct. 4.

The symposium will be held in room 309 of the university’s Media and Public Affairs Building, 805 21st St., N.W., from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The symposium will feature an outstanding group of researchers and an equally outstanding group of participants. Formal presentations and comment will be provided by:

Dave Crowe, National Association of Home Builders; Catherine England, Marymount University; Dwight Jaffee, University of California at Berkeley; James Miller, George Mason University and The CapAnalysis Group; Peter Wallison, American Enterprise Institute; Richard Williams, University of Notre Dame; and Lawrence White, New York University.

“Our goal is to bring greater understanding to various components of GSE policy and regulation,” said ACB Chairman Curtis L. Hage, who is also chairman and CEO, Home Federal Bank, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Susan M. Phillips, dean of George Washington University’s School of Business and Public Management.
