AMERICA’S COMMUNITY BANKERS EXPANDS
CORPORATE GOVERNANCE PACKAGE FOR COMMUNITY BANKS
WASHINGTON, D.C. — America’s Community Bankers announced today an expansion of its two-year partnership with the National Association of Corporate Directors to provide additional corporate governance support for community bankers.
NACD has created an exclusive, value-added special membership category for community bank chief executives and the chairman of the audit committee or the general counsel.
“We have expanded ACB’s partnership with NACD to serve the ongoing needs of community bankers in these times of increased attention to corporate governance issues,” said ACB Chairman D. Russell Taylor, who is also president and CEO, Rahway Savings Institution, Rahway, N.J.
The Corporate Governance Leadership Package includes all of the benefits of membership in NACD, including the Directors Monthly newsletter and an annual Director Compensation Survey; discounts on board and committee handbooks, monographs and surveys; a NACD Blue Ribbon Commission report; unlimited access to NACD’s hotline, ExpresSource; and a special notebook of material extracted for the audit chair or general counsel.
NACD also offers ACB members certification of attendance at ACB corporate governance forums, custom-designed sessions at ACB-member locations and access to NACD’s Board Leadership Seminar Series.
ACB members will also have the opportunity to participate in an ACB-member task force on corporate governance staffed jointly by ACB and NACD, and access to NACD speakers, resources, information and guidance on corporate governance issues and practices.
America’s Community Bankers is the national trade association committed to shaping the future of
banking by being the innovative industry leader strengthening the competitive position of
