AMERICA’S COMMUNITY BANKERS LAUNCHES “UNITED WE STAND” FUND
WASHINGTON, D.C. – America’s Community Bankers, the national trade
association representing community banks of all charter types and sizes, today
announced the formation of the “United We Stand” fund, which will
allow community bankers to collectively pool their resources for six charitable
organizations.
ACB President and CEO Diane Casey said, “Many community bankers are
already making contributions directly to worthy organizations and we encourage
them to continue to give to the charities of their choice. We created the United
We Stand Fund in response to our bankers who asked that ACB serve as a conduit
for member contributions.
“The fund, through our charitable arm, ACB Housing Partners
Foundation, gives bankers the option of designating up to six organizations that
can receive all or part of their contributions, including two close friends and
associate members of ACB that were devastated by the attack in New York: Keefe,
Bruyette & Woods, Inc. and Sandler O’Neill and Partners.”
