WASHINGTON, D.C. — America’s Community Bankers announced today that it has named Jodie Goff as manger of accounting and financial management policy. ACB also announced the promotion of Greg Mesack to a director of government relations.

“Jodie brings an impressive knowledge of complex banking issues to ACB,” said Diane Casey-Landry, ACB’s president and CEO. “She will be an excellent resource for our members and take the lead in our accounting area.”

Prior to joining ACB, Goff spent more than four years at the Federal Reserve Board as a senior financial analyst. She briefed the Board of Governors on developing trends and issues in the financial services industry, conducted studies on bank regulation and analyzed bank supervisory activities. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and earned an M.B.A. from The George Washington University.

Mesack joined ACB in July 2004 as senior lobbyist. Since his arrival, ACB’s government relations team has been active on many fronts, succeeding in getting a bill on credit union conversion introduced, helping to pass deposit insurance reform and providing leadership for important government sponsored enterprises, data security and flood insurance legislation. Mesack received a B.A. in political science and history from Miami University and is currently completing his M.B.A. at The George Washington University.
