ACB STAFF MEMBER FEATURED ON TREASURY WEBCAST
Editors, Reporters:
Steve Kenneally, director of payments and technology policy for America’s Community Bankers, was a featured participant in a webcast hosted by the Treasury Department’s Financial Management Service to promote its Simplify program, which encourages the electronic payment of federal taxes by tax preparers and small businesses. The other featured participant was Gary Grippo, assistant commissioner for FMS’s federal finance area.
Kenneally was the only trade association participant. Some 27 organizations, including ACB, have agreed to assist in the promotion of electronic tax payments.
